There are also quite a few "Other World" expansion sets. The one I'm playing is another main set called "Forbidden Fortress" that's set in a fictional feudal Japan.

It's a dungeon crawling game where you randomly generate the dungeon as you play. The monsters are a mix of mythical creatures, people who've been mutated by exposure to dark stone, and aliens and other monsters from the Other Worlds.

It uses almost all 6-sided dice, but it feels pretty similar to a certain kind of D&D, but different from like "Gloomhaven" which alternates tactical combat raids with a choose-your-own-adventure style branching adventure path. There's a bit more randomness here, and a bit more time spent on exploration instead of combat.Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15493700749333105771noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2018265247036237861.post-53115812851689733132020-06-26T23:28:12.530-07:002020-06-26T23:28:12.530-07:00What actual game is this, if I may ask? The only one I found was a board game from Flying Frog that was set in the Old West...if this is the one then you’ve done a fine job of re-imagining things. It looks like an intriguing game.Alistairhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04631364538623314004noreply@blogger.com
